pc hanging after logon, green  circle on network icon in systray
hi, i am having a problem with windows 7 hanging upon start up, until it finds the network. once it finds the network it is fine until then everything hangs and i hav this green circle over the network symbol in system tray. i have tried doing an upgrade install but it fails and won't start again due to it says it needs to finish the previous session. i either need a fix for this network issue, which also stops me enabling netprofm and any networking services. or a way for me to get rid of the traces of the attempted upgrade so i can try again. i have already tried diskcleanup and have manually deleted any extra files i can see in the c: thanks ally

Hi, You may try to boot the computer in Safe Mode to determine whether the 3rd party software cause this issue. If the issue does not reoccur, please follow the steps in the link below. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 Otherwise, please update Network Adapter' driver to latest version. You may also try to use System Recovery function to recover to a working state. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
